In the final episode Dara and Ed travel south through the mountains of Costa Rica to Panama where they learn to herd cattle on horseback at the El Camino ranch before visiting the Centro de Rescate Las Pumas animal rehabilitation centre where they meet orphaned anteaters and jaguars. Travelling on south, Dara and Ed pass through the capital, San Jose, before driving over the famous Cerro de la Muerte - the 'Mountain of Death'. The pair experience the engineering wonder that is the Panama Canal before they head for the final town on their map, Yaviza where their Pan-America highway comes to an end in a small town square.
