In the final episode Dara and Ed travel south through the mountains of Costa Rica to Panama where they learn to herd cattle on horseback at the El Camino ranch before visiting the Centro de Rescate Las Pumas animal rehabilitation centre where they meet orphaned anteaters and jaguars. Travelling on south, Dara and Ed pass through the capital, San Jose, before driving over the famous Cerro de la Muerte - the 'Mountain of Death'. The pair experience the engineering wonder that is the Panama Canal before they head for the final town on their map, Yaviza where their Pan-America highway comes to an end in a small town square.

Season 1, Episode 2
Using Sullivan Richardson's expedition journals as their guide, Dara and Ed continue their epic road trip into Guatemala. After crossing the border they head for Lake Atitlan, the deepest lake in Central America. In this traditionally Mayan area, they stop to pay their respects to the chain-smoking, rum-toting Mayan deity Maximon, who blesses their journey.
Back on the highway they find themselves dodging the colourfully painted chicken buses - the main form of transport used by the locals. Whilst Dara catches a ride on one with morning commuters, Ed goes in search of the engineers who take these clapped-out American school buses, modify and paint them for a new life in Guatemala. Dara discovers how dangerous life on the highway can be. The buses are regularly held up by gangs who force people to give them money under the threat of violence.

Dara and Ed's Big Adventure is a brand new three part series which follows comedians Ed Byrne and Dara O'Briain as they embark on an epic 4,000 mile Pan-American adventure, retracing an intrepid journey originally undertaken in the 1940's.
Dara and Ed follow in the wheel tracks of three adventurers from Detroit. Sullivan Richardson, Arnold Whitaker and Kenneth Van Hee were dubbed the 'three damn fools' by the American press when they set out to travel from North to South America in their Plymouth saloon car, before a road linked the continents.

Season 1, Episode 1
sees Dara and Ed start in Arizona and speed towards Mexico where they see the famous Lucha Libre wrestlers, a state of the art coffee farm, the ancient Zapotec civilisation of Monte Alban, and sample the local Juchitán delicacy of iguana. On a darker note they also witness the steady stream of migrants risking their lives to reach North America riding the freight train known as 'La Bestia'.
