The Nature Of Things Chasing Snowflakes 720p HDTV x264-aAF

As many Canadians are knee deep in freshly fallen white stuff, the Nature of Things is out filming a story on the science of snow. One of the people we met is Don Komarechka, a professional snow photographer from Barrie, Ontario. With a steady hand and an old mitten, Don goes out into the freshly fallen snow. He takes hundreds of images of a single flake and then spends hours editing them together. The photos reveal the geometric design of snowflakes which often have vibrant colours (entirely natural) and otherworldly shapes. Each one is unique. We thought you might want to take a closer look. You can see more photos and find out where to buy his book here. And our film 'Chasing Snowflakes' will air - you guessed it
