Mark Williams-Thomas continues his investigation into the disappearance of Carole Packman, for which her husband was later convicted of murder. Mark's inquiries lead him to Canada after he learns that someone calling themselves Carole Packman began a new job in Montreal a year after Carole disappeared. She was later discovered to be Patricia Causley, the mistress of Carole's husband Russell. Mark then moves on to Guernsey to hear how police investigated Russell's disappearance after he apparently fell off a yacht during a sailing trip. The episode was later revealed to be an attempted insurance fraud, for which Russell was jailed.
