Plot: On July 20, 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Fu Bao became the first giant panda born in South Korea. Half a year later on January 4, 2021, Fu Bao made her first public appearance at Everland park, and immediately became the darling of the nation with her cute appearance and playful energy. As the cub grew bigger and bigger, so did her popularity (and cuteness). Fu Bao's loving relationship with her zookeepers, Grandpa Kang and Grandpa Song, also attracted much interest. All giant pandas born outside China must be returned to their home country by age 4, and as the day of farewell approached, her zookeepers tried their best to prepare for her return trip to China, cherishing every moment together. Fu Bao's four precious years in South Korea from birth to her departure in April 2024 are documented in My Dearest Fu Bao which set a Korean box office record for documentaries.
