"Armoton maa" (original title)

Plot: A small village in western Lapland just before the Swedish border. A retired police officer, Lasse, heard that the local criminal Jaakko was released from jail and drifted into a collision course with Lasse's son Erkki. In an attempt to prevent two young men from harming each other, Lasse falls between two tasks. He wants to protect the boys from each other and keeps in mind that the occupiers who have been hired by Swedes can not get into Jaakko. In all this, he has to face his own past and its secrets. The final showdown will take place in the desolate wilderness of Lapland.
