Season 11, Episode 09 - “South West Dessert"
This week, three chefs from the south west of England are fighting to be crowned champion. Today is the dessert course, and it is Josh Eggleton who has come up with the most ambitious dessert - his own self-serve ice cream made from vegetables. He is making everything from scratch, including toppings and syrups, but when the machine plays up, he fears his efforts could all be for nothing.Not to be outdone, Chris Wheeler has decided it is showtime, creating his own tribute to some of Britain's musical greats. And Jude is using a musical theme as well, creating chocolate notes to go with mint macarons and mint shards for his new take on eton mess.

Season 11, Episode 08 - “South West Main"
It is the main course and chef Chris Wheeler is out to show just how theatrical he can be - his ideas are surprising everyone in the kitchen. No one knows quite what to expect and the veteran chef is hoping it tastes as good as it looks. Once again, Josh is challenging himself with a complex dish with many elements - his dish celebrates different cuts of beef and includes ox heart. It is an unusual choice which takes skilful cooking to prevent it being tough. Josh is also cooking sweet breads in marmite and maple syrup. And Jude is out to impress with his trademark Asian flavours, using them to transform the classic cottage pie.

Season 11, Episode 06 - “South West Starter”
Today, it is the starter course of the south west regional heat. Chef Josh Eggleton is back for a third time. Josh is the Michelin-star chef proprietor at The Pony and Trap near Bristol. Last year, he made the national finals when his starter was shortlisted for the banquet. This year, he intends to go one step further and cook at the banquet. One of his rivals last time, Jude Kereama, is also back and out to do better than he did previously. Jude runs Kota at Porthleven in Cornwall and last time he was knocked out after the dessert course. The third competitor is newcomer Chris Wheeler, who is originally from Swanage in Dorset. Chris trained in France and spent many years working with Jean Christophe Novelli. Chris is currently head chef at Humphry's in Stoke Park and prides himself on skilled classical techniques presented with a touch of theatre.

His main course is called the backbone of Britain - a hearty dish for all those hard-working great Britons. The highly competitive Adam Handling has been showcasing the finest produce grown and caught in and around the UK in his menu. His main course is no exception - he is creating a modern take on a Sunday lunch by using premium-grade wagyu beef and combining it with langoustine and Asian flavours. It is an unusual combination that has got the veteran's interest. Once again, Michael Bremner is out to show how inventive he can be. He is cooking mallard with his version of the famous Scottish dish of stovies. He is also being innovative by using beeswax with blackberries, but will it pay off?
