Rachel returns to Syndicate 9 after a year away on vice, as the Manchester-based crime drama featuring two female detectives returns for a new series. Rachel needs a bit of time to settle into her position as acting DI and rekindle her neglected relationship with Janet. However, the shocking murder of Michael Edgerton forces her to hit the ground running and adjust to the inevitable changes as she goes. Glad of Rachel’s return, Janet could not have known how much she was going to need her friend. However, it soon becomes clear that Syndicate 9 are dealing with something much bigger and more sinister than a single indiscriminate murder.
