Deadly Floods
Floods are among the most frightening of natural disasters, often affecting huge areas and thousands of people. In this show, their fearsome power is reproduced in experiments that see British adventurer and host Ben Fogle washed away in a car, swept off his feet, trapped by slow rising water and fighting for his life in a deadly vortex. Survivors recall their experiences of being caught in a variety of floods, from the speed and power of a flash flood and the vast scale of a storm surge, to the unstoppable destruction of a tsunami. Finally, a full-scale house is specially built to discover what happens when it faces an onslaught from a man-made tsunami. We watch it's destruction as millions of gallons of water are diverted at the house, complete with deadly debris including a full size car.
