Fed up with a number of recent cases being knocked back by the CPS, Banks and the team are askedto investigate the murder of teenager Ellie Clayton, daughter of a successful internet entrepreneur. The suggestion that she could have been raped means that the investigation is soon the subject of intense media speculation and Banks promises her parents that they will bring the person responsible to justice.
