“Change On!” finds the circus troupe in Virginia for the first stop on its tour. But things don’t go as planned: a pivotal act is cut, forcing a last-minute reworking of the show; a company regular is diagnosed with cancer; and ticket sales are poor. In “Survival of the Fittest,” the troupe endures winter on a small lot at New York’s Lincoln Center. Sales are brisk, but the weather is uncooperative: Ice collects on the big top and water hoses to the trailers freeze.
