A joyous musical comedy about love and money, set in the Taskasap district of Istanbul at the end of the 19th century.
Described by director Ezel Akay as a “surrealistic musical comedy”, this is the tale of the beautiful Hurmuz who is unlawfully married to no less than SIX husbands. Each man has a different occupation, and the wily Hurmuz has it worked out so that she hosts and entertains each one on a different day of the week. Meanwhile, she is happy to accept their gifts and use them to solve her financial problems. However, Hurmuz becomes infatuated with a handsome doctor that she meets in the barbershop of one of her husbands. She pretends to be sick and lures the doctor to her apartment. Needless to say, the doctor quickly falls in love with her. And that’s when life starts to get very chaotic – in the funniest possible way – for Hurmuz and the doctor…
