Animal lover Paul O'Grady takes his first ever trip to India to meet the country's vulnerable wild animals. In the first episode, Paul makes his way to an elephant sanctuary south of Delhi, where he meets overweight elephant Lakshmi and Mohan, who is in a bad way after being chained up for 50 years. A thousand miles east in Assam, Paul hears about devastating flooding in the area and learns why the animals here - including nine baby rhinos - are in need of help. After a spot of tea picking, Paul is awestruck when he encounters a very rare animal - Ripu the clouded leopard.
